Steve Sawyer, P.E.
Steve is the Director of Engineering for The Morin-Cameron Group’s Haverhill office with more than 35 years of civil engineering experience including planning, design, permitting and construction administration. He has experience in engineering projects ranging from small single-family residential projects to large scale multi-family and commercial developments. Steve has more than 20-years of experience in the land development sector where he assists clients from the early conceptual planning phase of a project, oversees project design and permitting and then assists during construction. Steve also has experience in the public sector of land development. Some examples of his public projects include the MCI Shirley Supermax prison, MWRA 400 MGD Carroll Water Treatment Plant and the Central Artery/Tunnel Project drainage & pump stations.
Steve’s interest in civil engineering came from his fascination with geography and mapping and their relation to the actual world. He spent hours reading the AMC mountain guide and studying the maps planning his next hike in the white mountains. Coming from a family of engineers, Steve joined his brothers at Northeastern University where he completed his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Steve has also volunteered his time as a Newburyport Parks Commissioner and member on the Newburyport Community Preservation Commission.
